Falkor 55R Rim

Description

The Falkor 55R rim was developed with computational fluid dynamics modeling (CFD) and proven in the tunnel. It’s a lightweight deep carbon clincher for road racing, triathlons and fast group rides.

During research, we found that the tire shape and how it mates to the rim was critical to the performance. Based on extensive rider feedback and a desire to lower the rolling resistance, the width and shape of the Falkor 55R was aerodynamically optimized for use with 25-28mm tires. For nearly all road conditions you will likely encounter, the wider tire and rim combination will give the best overall reduction in rolling resistance, drag reduction and excellent cross wind stability. There is also the added benefit of additional traction and more comfort and rim protection from potholes, etc. The FalkorR 55 is also tubeless compatible to help with the added traction, pinch flat prevention, increased tire compliance, and decreased rolling resistance.

This rim has a tradition rim brake track, featuring our 3nd generation rim brake surface. The 12K fabric weave on the brake track is not just visually striking, it works in conjunction with the our 3nd generation high temperature resin to provide more consistent modulation and brake pad friction while handling extreme temperatures better than any other rim we’ve tested.
